Master the Art of Layering

Layering doesn’t have to mean adding bulk. Here's what to do and not do when layering:

1. Overdoing the base layer. Starting with something too heavy can leave you feeling suffocated or overheated—stick to a lightweight turtleneck or fitted tee.

2. Ignoring texture variety. Mixing materials (like wool, leather, and knits) adds dimension and keeps your outfit interesting.

3. Missing the middle layer. A vest or light blazer provides warmth and balance—don’t leave it out.

4. Choosing layers that lack flexibility. Go for adjustable pieces, like a zip-up jacket, for versatility throughout the day.

5. Over-layering. Less is more—keep it balanced to avoid looking or feeling bulky.
